Ansel Elgort in San Diego Comic-Con for Divergent
MTV’s Josh Horowitz interviews Ansel Elgort for Divergent at San Diego Comic-Con. Ansel shares about his chemistry with Shailene Woodley helped him get the role and preparations they’ll make for the movie.
Josh Horowitz: I’ve got a ton of tweets about this, people are excited to see you and Shailene in The Fault in Our Stars as well coming up soon. Have you already started production on this (Divergent) when that happen? Did one lead to another that the fact that you were vibing and getting along well in this sort of different capacity..?
Ansel Elgort: I’m sure it helped. We’re already becoming bestfriends on this film. And then I tested with her for that and the chemistry was perfect and we’re both so excited to do it.
Josh Horowitz: So what’s on it to do, what’s something to get ready for that ‘cos that’s something..
Ansel Elgort: We’re going to visit some cancer hospitals, and talk with kids and patients who’ve had the same things that our characters will have. We’re gonna probably go and meet with John Green in Indiana and see the funky bones in the different places in the book. So it’s really exciting to process, it’s gonna be great and we’re both so excited to do it. That’s an amazing story and we’re so privileged to be able to bring that to life.
